Slow Foxtrot

One of the five International Standard dances: smooth, in 4/4 time, known for effortless gliding movement, long travelling steps and controlled swing.

A smooth ballroom dance danced in 4/4 time at 28–30 bars per minute (112–120 BPM). Slow Foxtrot is known for its effortless gliding movement, long travelling steps, controlled swing and exceptional precision. It is widely considered one of the most technically demanding ballroom dances.

Also called: foxtrot.
