Waltz
One of the five International Standard dances: graceful, in 3/4 time, known for continuous rise and fall, swing and smooth travel across the floor.
A graceful ballroom dance danced in 3/4 time at 28–30 bars per minute (84–90 BPM). Waltz is characterised by continuous rise and fall, swing movement, elegant rotation and smooth travelling across the floor. Often described as the most romantic of the ballroom dances.
Also called: slow waltz, english waltz.
