Jive
One of the five International Latin dances: fast and energetic, derived from swing, full of kicks, flicks, rock steps and quick footwork.
A fast and energetic Latin dance danced in 4/4 time at 42–44 bars per minute (168–176 BPM). Derived from swing dancing, Jive is characterised by lively kicks, flicks, rock steps, quick footwork and buoyant rhythm. It is the fastest and most athletic of the International Latin dances.
